From a young age, I've been drawn to mindfulness, holistic care, and wellness. It was the journey into motherhood that truly sparked my path to healing.
Amidst countless mornings and nights spent in meditation and flowing through yoga poses on my mat, I discovered a newfound center within, unaffected by the chaos of the pandemic. Guided by a holistic health plan from Purple Moss Paradise, I became my own healer, forging a deeper connection to both the universe within and the world outside. Those transformative months not only brought forth a new version of myself but also welcomed a new life, my son. Now, I'm dedicated to sharing the wisdom gifted from my healing journey, helping others on cultivating health and wellness from within, encompassing nourished skin, body, and mind.
YOGA TO ME:
Yoga transcends mere practice; it's a journey inward, where the mind becomes quiet and free from distractions. I honor each student's unique place on their personal path, trusting that they are precisely where they need to be. My sessions facilitate self-growth, personal development, and transformation, equipping individuals with the tools to craft their own practice to find grounding, stress and pain relief, improved mental health, better sleep, enhanced self-awareness, better physical health, and more. Viewing yoga as a spiritual odyssey toward self-realization and union, I explore various paths to harmony, including movement, song, chanting, and meditation. This journey isn't just confined to the mat but extends to our everyday lives, supported by our cherished community. It requires dedication, discipline, and courage to delve deep within, unveiling our truth and authentic connection. Free from daily distractions, we perceive the world anew, embracing mindful living.
MY NICHE:
I merge traditional yogic teachings and spirituality with earth medicine, offering a holistic, synergistic approach to living this practice. My online sessions cater to souls drawn to yoga, spirituality, and meditation, seeking to deepen their connection and live intentionally aligned with their truth.
(I also provide opportunities to expand yogic knowledge through classes on history, philosophy, teaching asana, posture analysis, anatomy, chakras, meditation, Pranayama, and more (by group appointment only).
While my studies stem from South Asia where the term "Yoga" was first derived from the sacred languages of Sanskrits, I have also obtained a strong understanding of the basic knowledge and Yoga sutras of Patanjali, which originated in the early centuries of the common era. Although my studies focused primarily on this sacred era, research suggests that the origins of yoga stretch beyond India and also encompass parts of Africa, particularly Egypt. Kemetic yoga, which emphasizes meditation, chakras, and channeling energy through the body to connect with higher intelligence and the divine, provides a slower pace. This practice, inspired by ancient Egyptian illustrations, acknowledges the often overlooked African roots within mainstream yoga culture and recognizes the contributions of people of color to global heritage. I am delighted to share that I am well-versed in both practices, though I intentionally focus on the basic fundamental union with self, before any sacred traditional philosophies.

During this sequence, we practice the breath of fire. There are certain precautions to be aware of including:
a.) If you are pregnant or menstruating it is recommended to refrain from the breath of fire and practice long deep breathing instead.
b.) If you have any underlying health conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, history of stroke or seizures
c.) If you experience vertigo or have acid or heat-related gastric issues If any of these conditions apply to you please mention them during our introduction.
